I LOVE THE HOLIDAY CARD PROJECT - SEE LINK BELOW FOR SPECIFIC DETAILS
Note that you can use a purchased card for the project in addition to making one or more to send to patients in hospitals all over the world.
I wanted to let as many people see my idea for cards, so if they can't make one from scratch, they will have an idea what else to do to participate in this project.
One of the things i have done with a girl scout troop or other organization is to furnish the group with old cards to cut and make collages out of for giving to those still in hospital. The cards I worked on were usually were sent to the VA hospital or children's hospital for distribution. I always save old holiday cards and get others to give me theirs. This makes for a nice mix of cards and is a wonderful way to recycle old cards. The cards are so beautiful that it is a shame to just throw them out when you can do minimal cutting and pasting to have a beautiful new card. I would also furnish the card stock, ribbons and other items to be added. They always turn out so beautiful. I have problems with my hands and found this a good way to still recycle and contribute cards.
